In my first article, I discussed the Top 5 Best Shampoos Under $10 for Black Hair. After a good cleansing, it’s important to restore moisture stripped from the hair while removing buildup.

Choosing the right hair conditioner is essential in reducing strand friction making it easier to manage and style which lessens hair & scalp damage. A quality conditioner should not only improve the feel and appearance of your hair but encourage durability and growth.

Here’s a little known fact about hair care…great quality products don’t always have to break the bank. There are products that can surely give high-priced ones a run for their money!

Here are my TOP 3 Best Conditioners Under $10 for Black Hair:

(In no particular order)

OGX – Brazilian Keratin Therapy Conditioner
Price Range: $5.74 – $6.99 (varies per retailer)
Where you can buy it: Buy online or Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Sam’s Beauty, ULTA, etc.

The formula for this conditioner is packed with coconut oil, keratin proteins, avocado oil and cocoa butter…A double bonus for your hair when used in combination with the shampoo. It is not only designed to soften the hair but the keratin proteins encourage hair strength which is a plus if you have issues with durability and experience lots of breakage.

OGX – Argan Oil of Morocco Conditioner
Price Range: $5.74 – $6.99 (varies per retailer)
Where you can buy it: Buy online or Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Sam’s Beauty, ULTA, etc.

The benefits of argan oil certainly rival that of black castor oil, an abundant source of vitamin E. This rich conditioner instantly penetrates the hair shaft leaving your strands not only with an amazing scent but smooth, soft, radiant and rejuvenated with hydration. A must have for hair that endures rigorous styling methods on a regular basis.

L’Oreal Paris – ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Repairing Conditioner
Price Range: $4.97 – $7.49 (varies per retailer)
Where you can buy it: Buy online or Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, etc.

Just like the shampoo, this protein rich conditioner contains ceramides…fatty acids called lipids. Ceramides are naturally found in skin cells and in the hair cuticle, [the outermost layer] providing strength to the shaft of the hair which results in durability. The Total Repair 5 Conditioner also seals and locks moisture into the hair strands, repairing hair damage…from split ends to dehydration.

As I mentioned in my previous article, “The Top 5 Best Shampoos Under $10 for Black Hair“, if you are having serious issues with breakage, thinning, damage from styling stress including chemical processing and heat damage. This product will replenish and reinforce hair fiber structure which is necessary for hair growth and rebuilding hair strength and thickness. This is absolutely a must have and I recommend this product be used regularly (once a week) in combination with the shampoo for best results.

So, yes…there are only 3 conditioners that I recommend at this price point. Surely there are plenty of products that are on the shelves to choose from, however, I found that these products specified have proven results that will benefit various natural hair types and textures and are great for chemically relaxed and/or color-treated hair.

But wait!

Does that mean this is all there is to go to for a great condish?!
Certainly not!

These conditioners are great for regular use and will promote hair durability, thickness, strength and growth.

But…the only thing better than a conditioner is….
A DEEP CONDITIONER!!

Oh yes, the sweet sound of that…deep conditioner…ah…who doesn’t love a great deep condish right?

Stay tuned for my product recommendations as well as upcoming tips and tricks for getting the most out of your deep conditioning treatment.
