In the world of beauty it’s all about the look, the style, the latest trend. It’s all about the outward appearance and too often what is happening on the inside is not nearly as important as what you see.
We do a disservice to ourselves when we proactively take steps to take care of our hair and we buy all of the creams, butters and the oils; implementing all of the new techniques just to have the lush… luxe…luster of the outward appearance of our hair and never pay any mind to taking care of ourselves on the inside.
If we want to have healthier hair which is the goal of most when it comes to hair care then we have to take a deeper approach and a more thorough look at what we need internally to have not just the essence of great hair but more manageable hair…hair that is in the best state of health to do all of the stylings that we desire.
The bonus is that after all is said and done, we get to look and feel our best while presenting the healthiest version of ourselves because we put our health first.
When we begin to concentrate more on healthy habits and begin to look at the perspective of hair care from a functional perspective then we will begin to look at our hair as an indicator of what our body is telling us as opposed to just one more thing on our long list of “Things to Do”.
In taking a comprehensive look at our health and how it impacts not just our hair but our skin and nails we’re looking at beauty from the lens of functionality which is a natural medicinal method of healing. We can begin to achieve optimal performance in hair growth having the opportunity to try all of the trends that we want and the styles that we want to achieve without sacrificing the health of our hair and putting it in the best state possible to bounce back from any potential mishaps that may come along the way.
When we begin to look through the lens of functionality then we could see clearly what the root issues and causes are and tackle those elements that are not only sabotaging but preventing progress in whatever our hair goals are that we want to achieve.
Pairing beauty & wellness with a comprehensive focus from a functional perspective allows you to achieve healthier hair but more importantly a healthier you.
I hope you’ll join me for more posts on how you can implement a lifestyle of healthy habits that will not only combat the root causes of many of your hair issues but in the process alleviate underlying issues through functional methods.
All the best,
Natasha Nicole
